JESSICA, 30 YEARS

Dear family,

I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.

Hi! Good Day! I am Jessica Bantilan Balangue, a 25 year-old Filipina, I completed my undergraduate studies at University of Southern Mindanao at Kabacan, North Cotabato, Philippines with a bachelor’s degree of Library and Information Science or in short Librarian. I am Catholic, when I was a child I am a part of the organization of Couples for Christ which they are called the Kids for Christ then in my teenager days I am part of Youth for Christ and now crossover to Singles for Christ.

I come from a family of 4: My parents, Orlando Sabado Balangue deceased he passed away last December 2016 and Marites Naquila Bantilan-Balangue a housewife, I have 1 brother Joshua Omar B. Balangue and he is currently studying at University of Southern Mindanao at Kabacan, North Cotabato, Philippines, taken up Bachelor of Science in Industrial Trade.

When it comes to child care experience, I take care of my other little cousins 1-6 months old and 1-6 years old I have I also organized for them and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities: we sang, danced, played games, role played, draw, paint, and narrated stories. We also visited the local animal park here in Davao Philippines, went out on picnics and a camping at the backyard of my grandmother and grandfather’s house near at the sapa river even my neighbour’s child I also taking care of them too specially when their parents are not around. Actually I babysit my brother sine my mother and father where not around because we are only 4 in the house and my 1 month old cousin until 3 months he live in our house because her mother is a teacher I volunteer myself as she needs a babysitter. I am grateful and happy to care of them because I really really love kids since I was kids lover all my tita’s are happy because they have me, ready to take care of their little ones. And in terms of cleaning household chores I am ready and willing to take me over I do all things like washing dishes, laundry, cleaning the house sweeping floors anything in household i can do that. An in terms of taking care Senior Citizen no worries about that I can take care too I have experienced in taking senior citizen I do taking care of my two grandmother but sad to say they passed away and now my grandfather I do take care of him until now.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to, and reading a good book and because I am a librarian. I also enjoy painting and on dull or rainy days, I often propose drawing and painting activities to my brother and my cousins which I call them little sister and little brother and our neighbours children whenever they come for company.

As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking a host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 6 months or beyond. I would also prefer looking after children aged 1 month to 10 years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend day or night time Language classes.

I would be very happy to have the opportunity to speak with you to answer whatever questions you may have about me or my childcare experiences to learn more about your family your interests and to know more about what you expect to me or from the au pair arrangement.
