JENNIFER, 33 YEARS

Dear Host Family,

My name is Jennifer but you can call me "Jen". I am 27 years old and I live in the Philippines. I grew up very close to both my parents and siblings. My father is now 69 years old and he was a Carpenter/ Fisherman/ Farmer. He can do almost everything for us. I call him my superhero, he is our go-to-guy. My mother is now 64 years old, she was a housewife and she's the best. She did a good job in making sure we grow up responsible, God fearing and a good person. She used to give us daily household chores. I have 4 siblings. Our eldest brother is 31 years old,his name is Thor, happily married with 3 cute and jolly little kids. Next is my older sister Jenelyn, she is 29 years old,married and we are so excited for her first baby to join our growing family next year. I have 2 younger sisters Juvelyn 25 yrs old and Sheena 18 yrs old. Until now, our favorite past time is listening to our father's amazing stories, his never ending jokes. We like playing board games and watching movies with the whole family and now joined by my nephew and nieces. I am currently away from my family because of work but I often come home to visit them.
Ever since I was a younger, I already wanted to experience the life in Europe because based on what I see from the internet or even from the photos, it is just so REMARKABLE. When I learn about Au Pair, it gives me the hope to make that dream come true. The idea of being a cultural exchange is an amazing program for me specially it is more on helping the parents take care of the kids and some household chores which I am used to be doing. I'd like to experience the things that I'm longing to experience; learning a new culture, their lifestyle, learn new language, meet new people and interact with them and also explore the place and see the amazing views and picturesque spots that were just only through my imagination.
I wanted to be an Au Pair for your family. I understand that you are looking for a good Au Pair for your family, someone who is reliable, proactive, has good manners, and cheerful where you can build trust and collaborate as far as taking care of the children and ensuring their safety and entertainment goes,also with some household task. I am confident to say that I got those characteristics your looking for.
About myself, I love to smile, I love to be surrounded with positive people. I am a family oriented person, God fearing and easy to deal with. I love watching movies, listening to music, riding a bicycle, hiking(mainly nature),swimming and travel. I love being with kids and taking care of them, I have patience and understanding on how kids should be treated well.
Before, I worked as a nanny for 3 years with 2 children to take care for. Children's name are Lyannah,she was 5 yrs old and Aisha 2 yrs old. My stay with them has been fun and memorable. They get close to me easily. They call me "Ate" or big sister. They love me just as how I love them. I started the day early preparing for the kids breakfast and preparing them to school. I accompanied them to school and also fetch them after. I help them with their assignments and teach them with their studies. I was their personal tutor. I played with them, we usually go outdoor after school to play. When the kids are out for school, I manage to clean their room,organize the house, do the laundry, clean the kitchen, wash the used plates and kitchen utensils and do some cooking. Right now I was already working as a Customer Support Specialist where I resolve customer's inquiry,help them with any confusion they have and make sure that they get satisfied with the service we offer.
