PAULENE, 36 YEARS

I liked being outside the house or in trips to explore new things, I liked surfing the net, playing online games, reading books, listening to music, watching movies, chatting with my friends and also I know how to ride a bike. I’m responsible, courteous, patience, obedient and easy to go with.

I’ve been an au pair before in the Netherlands 2009-2010. I’m the one who replaced my sister when she ended her contract to our host family.

In my host family I took care of three children age ranging from 7-10y/o. I’ve been there au pair for 1 year. I worked for them 30 hrs per week I have two offs Saturday and Sunday, sometimes I babysit them in Saturday night if their parents have a night out. I’m responsible for waking up the children, packing their lunch boxes, preparing their meals in the morning, picking them up before school ends, bringing them to their outside activity, helping them to their school works and light household chores. Usually I bring them to the park near their school to socialize to the other children. I cooked sometimes when their mom is out of the country for business trip. And for every event that they have in their schools I’m always present liked their school play, sport fest and recital.

I want to be an au pair because I want to experience and learn different cultures, to educate myself and also to explore. Last but not the least I will be gladly to offer my hand to my new employer and her family. I would be delighted to share my knowledge and culture to the kids.I also wanted to gain their language and traditions especially there food etc.
