JERICHA, 35 YEARS

Dear Family,

I am looking to work as an au pair. I love working with children and helping the family so I thought this would be a great opportunity for me.

My name is Jericha Mae. I am originally from Philippines, a 27 years old girl. I´m high school graduate, never been married and no children.

I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I am the eldest and our youngest is 11 years old. I love my family more than anything and hope to bring back many stories for them from my travels. I think growing up with little sisters and a little brother and working with a family with small kid was the source of my love for children.

About me, I have always loved working with children and I have experience as Babysitter and Housekeeper for a family with 1 child, 1 dog & 1 cat for a couple of years now. Here in my current employer I handle all the house chores, like cleaning the house, cooking, preparing lunch box, ironing, laundry, and attending & playing the kid, Erika 6 years old, do the organizing, tidying and pet-sitting. This experience really broadened my view of the world and inspired me to learn even more.

I can get along with all types of people. I am intrigued by different cultures and enjoy the beauty of each and every person I have encountered. I enjoy trying new things as well. I also love animals so any animals present in the home would be no issue. I am extremely efficient, hard working, and excel at multi tasking. And as strange as it sounds, I really like cleaning. My family often jokes that I must be adopted because I am the only clean and organized person in the family.

I would love to become an au pair to experience a new place and new people. I think it's the perfect opportunity to be able to work in a foreign country and truly learn about it given the close proximity with its inhabitants. I have done a lot of reading on the internet and I have found that the only time you truly get to experience the culture of a city/country is when you live amongst/interact with people who live there. I believe becoming an au pair would be rewarding in many ways.
