ABEGAIL, 26 YEARS

Hello Future Host Parents, Hope this letter finds you well! I am Abegail S. Caperlac, a teacher in the Philippines. I have been in the practice for 4 years. I have a degree in Secondary Education Major in Social Studies and graduated with flying colors. I am 25 years old and will turn 26 on January 29, 2023. I am single and don’t have children. I don’t have any vices. I know how to drive, and I have driver’s license. I also know basic first aid. It is my dream to be an Au Pair. I understand the duties and responsibilities of An Au Pair. My profession has taught me how to handle young people very well. I understand that every child is special hence we need to always consider that they are different from one another. I want to be able to share my expertise in teaching to my host siblings and do light household chores. I am prepared with exciting activities that we could together like coloring, reading stories, baking, dancing, playing, and for outdoor activities, we can do sports like badminton and soccer and some engaging physical exercises. I can also do some light household chores like organizing the things at home, wash the dishes, cook delicious meal, arrange the room of my host siblings, arrange their clothes, and put it to laundry, pile up their books and clean the play area. I am also inspired by the ladies who are now travelling in Europe while doing the Au Pair program. I want to be able to experience Europe in this lifetime. I would like to see the amazingly built cathedrals, museums, the canals, I want to feel the cold weather, and the beautiful flowers and windmills, I want to meet new people and immerse myself to new culture and try different local dishes. I would also like to learn the Dutch language. The best way to start learning about a country is to live with a family that can share with me about these things. Aside from learning, it will be easier for me to adjust to the new environment. It will also help me understand the culture and the differences of the people and guide me to know more about the beautiful place that I can go to. I am looking forward to an amazing and kind host family who will accept me as their Au Pair.
