Short 'Dear Family' letter Present yourself briefly. Dear Family, Hello! My name is Rochele and I am writing to introduce myself and tell you why i would like to become an au pair and why I would be a perfect match with your family. My official name is Rochele, but you can call me “ Chel“ as this is my nickname given to me by my parents. I’m 25 years old and I live in Dasmarinas City, Philippines. I live there with my parents and my siblings in our shared family house. My family consists of 6 people: my father, my mother, my sister, my 2 brothers and me. My sister’s name is Julie, she’s 28 years old and she's currently working as a teller in a bank. My oldest brother’s name is Reygie he’s 31 years old and he is currently working as Steward in Hotel in Cyprus and my youngest brother's name is Harold he's 23 years old currently 2nd year college. My father's name is Helery and he died last 2017. And my mother's name is Floripes she's 52 years old. I would say that I have a wonderful relationship with my family and that they are incredible, who gave me a wonderful childhood experience. My family 100 percent support my choice of being an au pair. They think it's good to explore a new culture, learn a new language and in the process become a more independent person. About you Describe your own person, family, formation, experience abroad / with children and hobbies. So what am I like? My family, friends and neighbors always describe me as a warm hearted, easy-going, helpful, kind, loving, gentle, and hard working. I am down to earth person. Before my father died last 2017 in colon cancer stage 4 I am the one who took care of my father, and also in my grandmother last year before she died, I am the one who took care of her like I bath her, changed diaper, clothed. I also assist her to eat. Even our neighbor has a breast cancer I assist her to bath and pray for her in person. As a Christian Born-Again I love helping people with pure motives. And I love kids so much all my kids neighbors is so closed to me, I always invited them to our home, and I share them the word of God, and helping kids how to pray and memorize verses and I treated them food in my own pocket. I love praying for people especially the kids, Their parents closed to me too, so they entrusted there kids to me. I’m very loving person even in the strangers especially kids in the streets, I will give them some foods, praying for them personally. In our home all the house work I can do it because i am trained to do it since I am a child. I can cook, I can clean the house, I can wash clothes, iron, and when the member of the family has a sick I am the one who took care to them and sometimes I massage them and pray for them. I also the one who will go in market to buy foods or what we need in our home. I like to watch videos on youtube, I love listen to music and my favorite songs is worship song because it gives me peace, joy. I love reading new books, one of my favorite book is Bible and I finish already to read the bible. I have learned a lot of how to be good, gentle, loving, and how to live with integrity and how to love God and all the people. More about me, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration. When I am student I experience to working student. To work as a crew in fast-food and I assigned in kitchen. It's not easy to work as crew especially my schedule is closing, I need to clean all the things in kitchen and sanities. Sometimes I go in home normally, 1am,2am, and 3am especially when I am first year college. because my out in fastfood is 12am and sometimes they extended me because someone is absent or sometimes no transportation. And I need to go in school in the morning until the afternoon. I am working student only in my first year in school. I can speak 2 languages fluently. Filipino (my mother tongue) English (average) I would love to learn danish as my third language. Why you would like to work as an au pair? Explain why you wish to become an au pair abroad to take care of children. First of all, I love kids so much and I know how to deal with them and how to make them having a blast moment with me. Being an au pair will give me the opportunity to do the things I love and will allow me to explore a new culture, learn a new language and meet new people along the way. I’m sure that if you choose me as your new au pair, we would have a great time together and I hope this letter would give you some idea about me and what I am like.
