MERY, 27 YEARS

Dear Host family, It is with great anticipation that I present to you my application as an Au pair. Hi, My name is Merry joy Vismanos, my family and close friends’ call me “joy” I am currently a Domestic helper here in saudi. I am working with my sweet conservative, Arab family, for 2 years it was a great experience with Arab asian culture I have learn a lot and i loved and embrace their culture. I heard about au pair and i am really interested to explore the european culture and know more what the other part of the world could offer. I am 26 years old and was born in one of the provinces in the Philippines, can speak English and Filipino. Filipino Language is the National Language of the Philippines, also basic Spanish because it is the native or dialect we spoke in Zamboanga City. A friendly person as they say and fun to be with, bubbly and sweet. An open-minded and Creative person who loves designing and arts, foods, movies, and nature. Passionate on everything I does and can really work under pressure. I enjoy grocery shopping, cooking and gardening. I am a pet lover too; I’m fond of playing with cats and dogs. I graduated at Univesal college at my city where i took up midwifery and practical nursing. To move forward my life went a little bit complicated as we were challenged financially But that did not stop me to learn more and work hard. I volunteer on our church and work as a staff every summer. When I was in philippines, I volunteer to tutor a kid in our community. It lasted for 5 months only. I did had a part time job in a 3 star hotel in our province my main task is cleaning the room, arranging, vacuuming and change the linens. I also work as a fast food chain staff where my position is cashier and randomly helped in the kitchen. Then I decided to find other job which will help me to provide for my family. I apply as a Nanny in Saudi for two years. My everyday routine is that I wake up at 5 am tidying up my bed, after that I prepare the breakfast then when the baby is awake, I prepare her to take a bath and feed her after and when the baby is asleep, I do some house chores, I do the laundry and ironing. I also taking care of 2 kids when the baby is asleep i play with them and manage to do some tidy up of the house. I am currently at saudi working as a domestic helper. Where i am taking care of lovely kids, ages 5,9 and an autistic cute 8 months old baby there are times that i am alone with kids when their parents are busy away for a business trip. And i am incharge of everything and manage well my resposibilities. These experiences are the reasons why I’ve become matured and know how to deal with big responsibilities and I think my childcare and household skills will make me a great Au pair and would really help me improve more.
