CAROLINE, 21 YEARS

Hi My name is Caroline and I’m a young and active 19 year old girl from Denmark. I graduated high school (stx, gymnasiet) in the summer of 2021 and i therefore am in the middle of a gap year. I love kids and I got my first nephew when I was six years old. Taking part in his well-being and playing with him came naturally to me from the beginning. I love playing with kids outside because it’s really important to me that they’re not just playing in the same environment all the time. I also really enjoy teaching kids how to do things, and it doesn’t matter if it’s how to put on socks or how to draw a square. It’s all about development. In general childcare is something that comes naturally to me and I really like it. So the thought of combining traveling and childcare is interesting to me. I dream of the southern sunshine and warm weather, but the most important thing is to get to know a new culture. During my time in high school I had two exchange months in Boston, MA where we lived with a host family. I have also just been to the Caribbean for a month on a sailboat with aight strangers. This means that living with strangers in new and different cultures is something I have done before.
