LAURA, 26 YEARS

My name is Laura and am 19 years old. Currently I am finishing my third and final year at college in Denmark and will graduate in June 2017. I speak fluently Danish as well as English, as I am born and raised with a Danish mother and an English father. In my spare time, I do a lot of gymnastics and dance and work as a waitress in a sushi restaurant. Some of my previous jobs have been helping at a florist, a nanny, private English tutor for students at public schools (here our focus was expanding the students’ vocabularies and being able to establish a standard conversation in English. We also worked with improving their English grammar).
I am a very open and happy girl and I love challenges. I don’t mind hard work, as I am naturally very hardworking, as well as domestic work and love learning and experiencing new things and places. I will also do my absolute best at work and will try my hardest to live up to the expectations which the family I would work for has for me. I adore working with people, especially children and of nature I am a very social person.
I have been taking care of children since the age of 12 and have worked with children in the age from 1-12 years old. I have worked for two regular families for a couple of years. The first family I worked for was for 5 years. Here I took care of a boy (5 y.o..) and a girl (8 y.o.). I played with them, cooked dinner for them, helped them with their homework and just had a nice time with them.
The second family I worked for, was a family of 2 children, a girl (3 y.o.) and a boy (1 y.o.). I worked for this family for 2 years, and here I cooked dinner, played with them, read stories to them and generally cared for them.
I am interested in working for families outside of Denmark, as I feel this would be challenging and exciting for me. I have no preferred ages I would rather work for, as I know the differences of working with different aged children. As I am very active in my spare time, I do like to take the children outside to play occasionally, as I enjoy the outdoors very much.
