LINNEA, 19 YEARS

Dear future host family. My name is Linnea Katrina Enemark, I am 19 years old (20 in May). This summer, I will finish high school, and my dream is to come out and experience the world. I am therefore looking for a family that can help me get to know a new culture and have unforgettable experiences. I am looking for a family from mid-August/ start September, until the end of November, as I will be a ski instructor in Austria from December. Warm regards, Linnea, maybe your new au pair Family and friends I live with my mother, father, and little brother, in a small town 30 min from Aarhus (Denmark's 2nd largest city). My family means a lot to me and I love spending time with them. Especially when traveling. My parents have given me and my little brother many trips as gifts, and something I appreciate very much. My mother Susanna is originally from Finland but has lived in many countries. Daily, she has a Specsavers store. My father Bo is self-employed in his own company BEMAS. My younger brother Philip is 17 and attends a Danish high school. Besides that, he drives a lot of go-karting, together with my father. In addition, I have a girlfriend - Jonathan. We have been together for 3 years and met each other at boarding school. Jonathan and I live an hour apart but are good at seeing each other anyway. Jonathan and I love doing things together, and we've already traveled a lot together. Personality I am a very smiling and happy person. I love being social both with family and friends. I'm good at taking intuitive to make things. I am also a person where responsibility comes naturally to me. I have a lot of discipline myself, and can easily do things by myself, without getting started. I love to experience and get to know new cultures and look forward to getting to know your culture. Education I am graduating what we in Denmark call “gymnasium" this summer, this corresponds to 13 years in school. I am doing very good in school and is getting high grades. At my school, I was also together with another boy from my class selected for the school's talented young people, who have given me contacts with companies we have visited. Before "high school" I went to boarding school, where I lived for a year. I am therefore used to being away from my parents and taking care of myself. Free time In my spare time I work as a waiter in a small café, and in the restaurant of a large hotel. In addition, I like to be with my friends, boyfriend, and family. I love being creative with beads, paint, clay, and everything else. In addition, I am good at baking cakes with many elements. However, my great passion is travelling. I have visited 36 countries during my 19 years and have a goal of visiting 100 countries. I love sun holidays, city holidays but especially also ski holidays. And I'm very much looking forward to being a ski instructor with my boyfriend. Experience I have experience in caring for children, both in the form of cousins, but also as a nanny. In addition, in my family we have had aupairs for 10 years in total, from many different countries. I therefore know what it means to be a good aupair and how to become part of the family. When we travel, we still visit some of our aupair and have contact with them as they have become part of the family. Language My mother thong is Danish. But as I have had English in school for ten and get good grades in English. Because my mom has growth up in Sweden, we have family there, and my mom spoke Swedish to me as child - I am also fluent in Swedish. My mom is also fluent in Italian, which she would help me with, so I will have some basic knowledge. Besides that, I have had German in school, and have therefore a general knowledge to the language, but do not speak it fluently. I am very open minded to learn your mother tongue and will contribute with English (and maybe German, Swedish, and Danish) in your family. Motivation I have dreamt of being an au pair in my gap year, because my mom was au pair as young. She has told me amazing stories about these years, that has inspired me. Also, the great experience I have had with your au pair had inspired me. I really want to experience a culture in a different way from what I am used to. I also really like the idea of becoming a part of a new family and create special memories with you. Expectation I expect to be part of the family and have unforgettable memories.
