SARAY, 30 YEARS

How have you been? I know you must have a lot of work. There are so many things to do at home, you have to take care of the children and really need some time for yourself. All of these important things to take care of, done by just one or even two people and not much time available. It can be difficult to handle them on a daily basis if you don't have help. That is why I'm here, to team up with you! in this great responsibility and adventure that is accompanying a little one while they grow up.I know your children could use a caring, professional company that supports their development and you should be able to come back home from a long day of work and find someone to rely on. My name is Saray, I´m here to become your right hand at taking care of the kids. I´m a committed worker, a cheerful and sweet woman. The youngest daughter of a beautiful Colombian family, which is made up of my parents, my sister and our lovely cat, Willow. They are all very special and hardworking people who have given me a loving home full of values. From them I learned the importance of working for my dreams with perseverance and responsibility. I'm very lucky to always count with the support of my family, no matter where we are in the world. I recognize the importance of being understanding, patient and affectionate with children and also having healthy boundaries with the kids (and with any human being in general). I learned this from my parents and of course, through my own experience in different jobs as a dance and yoga teacher, which started when I was 17 years old. I have worked with children from different age groups and teenagers in several dance academies in Antioquia (especially in Medellin, the city where I was born) , two preschools, and a Waldorf pedagogy school. My pedagogical practices at the university also focused on infants.I know that these experiences are different from living at home with them, but thanks to them I have developed an enormous interest in learning more about working with children and exploring the world by their side. Now, at 28 years old, I can tell you that I know the enormous responsibility that is accompanying children at any stage of their learning processes. I love to have the privilege to be by their side through the good and bad experiences. This gives me the opportunity to grow alongside them. Even when they can turn our worlds upside down and that looks messy, it is precisely that capacity and how they wonder about life that makes them more fascinating and interesting to work with. Regarding the professional formation that makes me a good candidate as an Au pair I have studied a degree in dance from the University of Antioquia in Colombia. My thesis was about the connection between body movement and writing learning in infants. For a more position specific experience, closer to being an Au pair, I lived in the city of Bogotá with a family for whom I took care of a 2 year old baby for 4 months. I loved this time of my life and that is why I decided to become a true Au pair. I look forward to living this learning process with you. As a plus, I am a certified yoga instructor by the Inbound Yoga System. My native language is Spanish (the second most spoken language in the world), that means, in addition to helping you with the children and some housework that involves their care, if you see it fitting, I would like to offer my knowledge as a dance, yoga, meditation and Spanish teacher. As for the course provided by the program, I will continue studying English. I know that yours is most likely very good, that is why I would appreciate it if you help me improve mine through daily interaction at home. I surely will get the most out of a course in this language, so I could later learn yours.
