DANISH GIRL LOOKING FOR AU PAIR POSITION
Hi families
I am a fun loving 18 year old girl who wants to take some time of from school and go explore life as it is lived in other places than my little home town in Denmark.
I am attending an international high school, IB and have one year left. I have decided to take a year off to try and work out my direction in life.
I come from a very close-knit family of 5. My dad is a Library manager and my mother is a language teacher. I have a younger sister of 16, a younger brother of 11 and a wonderful little poodle whom I adore.
Being the eldest, I am used to be in charge and I believe I am very mature for my age. I spend a lot of my time with my family, my parents are very open minded, and me and my friends hang out a lot with my family. Going on trips, playing games, cooking together etc.
Apart from loving school, and doing quite well academically, I have spent a lot of my sparetime involved in theatre work. I have been in charge of various activities a local events and love being in charge of things and making things happen/coming to life.
For the last 4 years I have worked in a local bakery in my spare time. I love being service minded and giving customers a great experience. I am now in charge of the younger girls working there afternoons and weekends.
I also love hanging out with my friends, doing fun activities together.
I love children, my mother says I am a child-magnet, as young children always seem to be drawn to me. I love playing, cuddeling, and talking care of children.
I am vegan, not the very loud kind, but I don't eat meat. I hope this is ok, as I am rather easy going when it comes to food.
I love walking my dog and go for long walks with him every day, otherwise I am not exactly very sporty, but am contemplating starting in a gym.
I have had my drivers licence for a year and drive my parents cars almost every day.
I also do some volunteering work, at school I am in charge of organising students in different volunteering projects. Currently I participate in a group of young people making activities for disabled adults. I also meet up with a disabled lady and help her chosing new clothes, going to the cinema etc.
Why do you want to be an au pair?
I would like to start out doing a short au pair stay to see if it suits me being away from friends and family. I like the idea of getting to know a country and a culture from the inside of a family. I am very family bound and would like to be part of life in another family and helping out.
I also hope to be a better speaker of your language, meet new people, and to join fx a theatre group etc. I am more or less fluent in English. I speak a little Spanish and German, I understand a lot more than I speak. I have had a few months introduction to French, so know the very, very basic of the language.
