ALEXANDRA, 22 YEARS

Dear Family,
My name is Alex and I am currently in my final year of studying for my A-levels. My subjects are philosophy, history, and English literature.

I have always wanted to travel and have always had a passion for looking after young children, hence why I think being an au pair is a perfect opportunity for me. My hobbies include meeting new people and going out with friends, as well as discovering and listening to music. I also enjoy baking, if you have a sweet tooth I make amazing cookies and cakes (although my opinion may be biased!)

I am very family orientated, I have a younger sister who has just turned 8, as well as an older brother in university, and two lovely dogs.
My mum is a child minder therefore I have grown up surrounded by children of all ages and have helped her out, which I believe has aided me in many aspects. I completed a week of work experience as a child minder and thoroughly enjoyed it, I also babysit most weekends in my free time.

I am a peer mentor at my school, therefore I am good at listening to any concerns and worries of my younger peers and helping them overcome any problems they may face.

I would love to be an au pair as I want to travel and gain new experiences whilst meeting new people. I adore working with children and would love to develop my experiences in this area whilst forming new friendships with the children and adults.
