YASMIN, 26 YEARS

My name is Yasmin and I am 20 years of age. I will be taking a break from my studies as I would like to have a chance to figure out what studies I would like to take part in. I would like to become an elementary school teacher as I have always enjoyed the company of children and believe I would be very good in the teaching field. I am very outgoing and have a character of which children are really drawn to and would find it an honour to be able to educate and inspire them to work hard for any career they would like. I am very outgoing and enjoy experiencing new things. I recently studied abroad in Denmark for a year which was a life changing experience for me. I became more confident and inspired to follow my desires in terms of work and how I would like my life to be. Since studying abroad, I have really been thinking of working abroad and taking a break from my studies. I am the eldest sibling of four of which range from the ages 1-14. I live with my siblings and my mother who is a single parent. Since a young age, I have been my mother's support and I have helped her with cleaning the house and baby sitting my siblings while she was attending college. When my mother gave birth to my youngest sibling, my mother went back to college after three weeks of his birth. While she was at college, I would take care of him, feed, change him, bathe him etc. And I would also take care of my other siblings. It is not the easiest job looking after a new born baby however regardless of the challenge, I enjoyed taking care of my brother. When I am not taking care of my siblings, I enjoy going out with my friends and trying new activities.
