I apologise that my Danish is currently very very basic, but I hope that we can still get along nonetheless, and that my Danish will become fluent during my stay with you! I intend on taking the language classes on offer by the government seriously so that I can become fluent in Danish.
Otherwise, I am really excited about the opportunity of being welcomed into your family and spending time with your children, and taking part in family events if and when invited. I intend on doing my very best to make your children happy by taking part in their hobbies and interests, and I enjoy spending time with children as they make me laugh and see the world in a different way.
I am open to doing housework and cooking as well as looking after your children, and am happy to look after pets if needed also.
I have prior experience with children of various ages, both boys and girls, and also children with disabilities, and believe that I am very good with children hence believe you can trust me to take very good care of your children.
Moreover, I have experience of holding English speaking lessons with junior school and high school children and so am also happy to help your children learn or improve their spoken English if desired.

Experience in childcare:
While at High School I did babysitting for one of my teachers, who had a one year old baby and a three year old son, as well as for one of my mother's friend who had a six year old adopted child. I also did volunteer work at a specialist school for children with motor neurone disorders and so have experience with disabled children. I helped the disabled children to play during their playtime, and also helped them practice their lines for their Christmas show. This experience was really rewarding as once I was able to make a bond with the children, they would laugh and play with me and call my name, and it was truly delightful to watch their Christmas show which they worked so hard for.
During the summer after my first year at university, I was an Au Pair in Japan for a single father, where I took care of two boys aged nine and ten. I was in charge of all the housework, cleaning and cooking, while looking after the children in their holiday home by the seaside. Me and the two boys played a lot in the park and on the beach searching for crabs, as well as me swimming and pulling the boys along in a small boat. We had a lot of fun together and this was an amazing experience for me and is one reason why I am now applying to be an Au Pair once again.
While in California as part of a Year Abroad Program in my third year of university, I often helped babysit my friend's five year old niece, doing a lot of baking together and playing on the trampoline, and I enjoyed spending time with her a lot as she always came up with funny comments and liked to sing for me.

My personality: Open-minded, friendly, caring, honest, creative, cheerful, unique, up for a challenge, and has very good interpersonal skills.

My family: I was brought up in a small town in England to a Polish father and a Japanese mother. I am fluent in Japanese but unfortunately not Polish. I have one older sister living in London whom I love very much, and we get along very well. Since my parents are both not British but I was brought up in England, I am accustomed and open to many different cultures. Although I am very close to my older sister and my parents also, I have spent long periods of time abroad and so am not likely to get homesick!

Why I would like to work as an Au Pair in Denmark:
Firstly, I truly enjoyed my previous experience working as an Au Pair, as mentioned above, as I love spending time with children as they think in such a different way and I find them fun to be with. I also enjoy the challenge of taking good care of children, and enjoy doing housework(!), and would thus like to have the experience of working as an Au Pair once again.
Secondly, I love Denmark and its culture, and am very keen to learn Danish and hopefully become fluent. I initially fell in love with Denmark in 2010 when I was accepted for an internship with a Civil Engineering company (I studied Civil Engineering at University) and made many friends from DTU where I was staying. I had a great time and have since been back to Denmark numerous times to visit my friends as I love the Danish culture and of course my friends! I would therefore be delighted to be offered an Au Pair job in Denmark.
In addition, I truly enjoyed my time working as an English teacher while in Tokyo (I studied my Masters degree at the Tokyo Institute of Technology), and so would gladly help your children to speak and improve their English if desired.
