JOY, 30 YEARS

Dear Host Families, My name is Joy Milla, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. As someone who has embarked on the rewarding journey of working as an au pair in my own country since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,I have however been volunteering and working with children since before then.I bring with me a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for childcare. Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of working with two well-established families, caring for children ranging from 3 to 17 years old. Through these experiences, I have honed my skills in providing attentive and nurturing care, fostering positive relationships with children, and creating engaging and enriching activities tailored to their unique interests and developmental stages. One of the joys of my role as an au pair has been the opportunity to form meaningful connections not only with the children under my care but also with their families. I understand the importance of clear communication, mutual respect, and collaboration in creating a harmonious and supportive environment for both children and parents alike. In addition to my passion for childcare, I also have a deep affection for friendly pets, adding an extra layer of warmth and companionship to any household. Furthermore, I am eager to embark on a new adventure by immersing myself in the rich tapestry of culture that your country has to offer. As I aspire to pursue a master's degree in child development in the future, this opportunity to broaden my horizons and save up for my studies is both exciting and invaluable.
