EMILI, 23 YEARS

Hallo my future host family! My name is Emili, nice to meet you! I am a 21 years old girl and I live in the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. Currently I live with my 73-year-old grandmother, my 20-year-old brother, and my cat named Nina, but I have an older brother who is 25 and a younger sister who is 18, and yes, I'm used to the dynamics of a big family and the unique relationship that only siblings have! My family is extremely important to me, I love them immensely and I'm grateful for all the support they give me regarding becoming an Au Pair. Currently I work for a leading fashion retail company in Brazil, in case you are curious the name is Lojas Renner. I work as an assistant, more specifically in customer and supplier registration, my current workload is from Monday to Friday during office hours. I am also a student of Human Resources and I do my undergraduate studies online. In my free time I like to read, draw (not that I am an artist or anything like that haha but I have always liked to draw), I am always listening to music and I like almost everything, from Bach symphonies to Taylor Swift, I love movies and series and just getting together with my family and friends to enjoy our company and eat good food! Besides these hobbies, I enjoy cooking and always try new recipes, my lemon pie and brigadeiros always get compliments and I would be more than happy to prepare them for you, my host family! I consider myself a reserved person at first, but after we get to know each other better you will see that I'm an enthusiastic, organized, funny and open minded person, always looking for new experiences. Since I was young I have always wanted to be an Au Pair because I have a big inspiration in my family, I have a cousin who is now 35 years old and at the age of 23 she decided to be an Au Pair in the USA, I consider her a very strong and determined person, always with a lot of dedication she achieved her goals; seeing the incredible relationship she had and still has with her former host family, all this cultural exchange and learning, motivated me to want to live that too! My desire is to find a host family where I can be part of the family, but don't worry, I'm fully aware of the responsibility that this job entails, after all you are entrusting me with your most precious possessions. I believe I would be an excellent choice for your family because I have the necessary experience for this important task, I'm a person who likes to learn new things and I'm willing to commit myself to you every day, reaffirming that I am someone you can trust. I have not been an Au pair yet, but I have worked as a nanny for two boys for two years and two months. Being more specific, I have been working for the company I've mentioned above (Lojas Renner) for 2 years and 9 months, when I first got my job I worked 6 hours a day, from 08:00 to 14:00 (or 2pm) and from 16:00 (4 pm) to 20:30 (08:30 pm) I took care of two boys, who are currently 10 and 3 years old, my work with them included playing with them, feeding them, bathing them and putting them to sleep. In November of 2021 I got a promotion at my job and my hours changed from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and it was then that I had to say goodbye to my boys because I couldn't conciliate the two jobs anymore. After being an Au Pair I'm interested to go to a University in Germany, at first I would like to study what I already study here in Brazil, which as I mentioned before is Human Resources, but I keep my mind open for other courses because we are constantly evolving and changing beings.
