CAROLINNE, 27 YEARS

Dear host Family,

My name is Carolinne and I am 23 years old. I was born in Macaé, a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, where I grow up and live until today.
I'm very excited to start this new experience as an au pair, I'm passionate about meeting new people and having new experiences. And I love to take care of kids so certainly this program is really fit for me...

As a person I am calm, patient, honesty, positive, pro active, easy going, fun, polite, affectionate, realiable, resilient, careful, kind, disciplined, responsible and helpful.
I love to teach what I know to others and to learn from others as well.

I am passionate about photography, gastronomy, outdoors and pets (especially dogs).
My hobbies are watch Netflix, study english, read, cook and I love meeting new people and making new friends.
On television I like to watch movies and TV series. My real passion is cooking, I even made some gastronomy courses.

I have a lot of experience with kids because I always helped my mother with my younger sister (she is 10 years younger than me) I know change diapers, bathe babies and all the related things about babies...
Nowardays I help my grand mother to take care of my cousin, he is four year old and I take care of him so my aunt can go to work. (I take care of him since he was born).
Outside my family my experience is with older kids and teenagers (8 years-16 years), I used to work as an teacher assistant in the school where I studied and I work as a baby sitter sometimes.
In addiction I was a volunteer at Sunday’s school at the church I attended in 2014 and worked there with kids of different ages.

My motivation be an au pair came after passed 2 months in Norway with my uncle in a city called Kongsberg, before that I didn't know about the Au Pair program...
He lives in Norway and I lived with him for two months (from December 2019 to beginning of February 2020), during my stay I was amazed about Norway and certainly I would like to experience living in a new culture.
I enjoyed the winter period therefore I believe I would enjoy the other seasons as well, I had great fun during this time trying many new things like winter sports and different food.
Norway is a very culturally rich country and I love it, my stay there was a really good time for me!

I am willing to help your kids on their daily activities and to encourage reading habits, as I mentioned, I love to read and I like to encorage youngers on reading as well.
I would like to be able to help the kids with their homework, make cupcakes with them, fruit salads, healthy (but fun) foods, brigadeiros (brazilian dessert)...
I would like encourage organization, draw, play with them, dance, walk, ice-skatiing, ride a bike, ski, read books, watch movies, play games like: puzzle, memory game...
I hope to find a good family and make them my family too and enjoy a great experience together.
I'm looking forward to enjoying these moments with my future host family!
