Dear, future host family…

Hello! :) My name is Amanda, I’m currently an Aupair in the Netherlands.

• I’m having a great experience and I’d like to extend the program in Europe to learn more about the culture, work, but also explore the places I haven't been able to visit and share everything I've learned so far.

I’m taking care of two lovely children (2 and a half year girl/4 yo boy). Really... Our daily relationship is wonderful <3 but, I'm also firm when necessary. We're always going to the market and doing shoppings, I take them and pick them up at school and daycare, I help at dinner time, feed the kids, clean the kitchen and also we're always playing in the countless playgrounds that the Netherlands has. :D

I learned to speak a little Dutch because they don’t speak English. My host is a single mother and it’s the first time that she’s sharing her house with someone, so far, we both have a good relationship and respect each other's space and culture. Once a week I vacuum and do a basic organization in the house, I prepare dinner 2x/ week and when my host requests, I fold and put the clothes in the wardrobe.

🙋‍♀️Well, I’m gonna introduce myself to you a bit: I’m Brazilian, Bachelor Degree in International Relations, I speak English, basic Spanish and now basic Dutch too. I became independent when I was 17, when I moved to another city to start working and studying, so I learned to do everything: clean house, wash clothes, cook, enjoy my company and be responsible for my bills. Despite being only 23 yo (turning 24 next August), I consider myself very mature.
