NATHALIA, 28 YEARS

Dear family,

It is with immense pleasure, that I hereby write my letter for becoming an Aupair. I have always been in love with children and I am confident, that I possess the necessary attributes required for being a part of your family.

Who am I?
I am a 24-year old Brazilian looking for a happy family that I could contribute to in regard to helping with the kids and the home. I speak fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish and a little bit of Danish. I have lived in the world's biggest capitals such as Rio de Janeiro, Washington DC, Lisbon, Copenhagen and at the moment New York City. Those experiences could open my eyes and heart for a multicultural mindset and taught me incredible lessons so far.

I have completed three out of four years of my bachelor degree, which is the duration in Brazil, where I studied the BSc in Economics and Business Administration at IBMEC, which is one of Brazil’s most prestigious, private universities. I have as well attended the Lisbon School of Design, where I have completed their 1-year programme in Fashion Design.
Furthermore, being an Aupair abroad would not only contribute to my desire to work with kids, it would also make it possible for me the to study new languages and hopefully study more in my own field.

My experience.
Since my passion for kids has always been something very natural, I have during the years enjoyed taking care of the little ones of my relative members, fact that gave me a good background as a caregiver.

I have been working with children for nearly three years now. I worked for about two years as a volunteer with pediatrics cancer patients in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro which has increased my sense of empathy and my ability to communicate in different and special occasions.

After these two years, I moved to Portugal to study and there I occasionally functioned as a babysitter for multiple families for one year. In this year living all alone, I've learnt to take care of my own things being organized and the cleanest person possible, once I did not have any help and I had to take care of my home by myself. I am sure I will be a good fit for you and your family in terms of housekeeping and cooking.

I have worked as a helper in the last couple of months in a Virginia State licensed home day-care located in Aldie-USA, with ten kids who are in the age range of four months old up until three years and a half. Currently I am working as a full time nanny in New York City and possibly in the future I will be working with you and your loving family.

How can I contribute to your family?
I have always been very structured and disciplined and once I have accepted to participate, or even take the lead, on a duty I dedicate myself 100% to it. In my perspective, the ability to interact with the kids is a crucial factor to obtain success. I always strive to be as open-minded and positive as possible, as this will affect the babies I am with and contribute to a more pleasant work environment.

I am pursuing this opportunity to go abroad as an Aupair as it gives me the ability to bring my personality and world vision experience to work in relation with the children, where I can use my tools to teach and have fun with them.

In conclusion, I can contribute with an open and empathic mind, a hard-working, but intelligent and loving approach and I will be more than happy to provide excellent references under request.
