Dear host family:
My name is Lya Rodrigues do Rosario. I'm 28 years old and I'm from Brazil.
I’m currently living in the Netherlands as an au pair and I’ll finish my year here in December
As an au pair I took care of 2 girls (1 and 5 years old) with my first host family but we had rematch because they didn’t follow the rules of the au pair program..
my second experience as an au pair in the Netherlands is with 2 boys (2 and 4 years old), and with this family I learned how to love this experience.
Nowadays I’m part of the family, I’m a big sister to the children, it’s being incredible. That’s why I want to be an au pair again, I’m really enjouying this experience.
We have a very fun routine with lots of games, picnics, drawing and painting, soccer, walks in the forest. there are other au pairs in the neighborhood so we have lots of playdates and the children love it.
We know that the reality of child care requires a lot of patience and attention, but being with them is something that makes me very happy.
My tasks as an au pair are to take the children to school, prepare lunch, play, light household chores, walk the dog, prepare snacks, change diapers and prepare dinner. The mother is very present in the day of the children and in mine also, we became great friends, but I’m always available for any other task that is necessary.
I’m very happy as an au pair in the Netherlands, but the program is only for 1 year, so I’m here looking for my new host family, and willit be a wonderful experience for both of us.
