CARING AND RESPONSIBLE :)
Hello Parents :)
My name's Daniela, but everybody call me Dani. I'm 25 years old and I'm from Brazil. I'm writing you this letter because I want to be an Au Pair one more time. One more time Daniela? Yes, one more time because I've been working as au pair in Netherlands since last September . My Au Pair year ends at the end of August and I'm ready to start in a new family close to this date. The first reason I came to Netherlands as Au Pair was because I wanted to improve my English and for me there was no better way to do this than living in a host family, experiencing their culture and routine. Since I was child I've been enjoying to spend my time with children younger than me, taking care of them or at least playing with them. At about three years ago I didn't know what the Au Pair program was and when I discovered it, I really loved it and I decided to live this amazing aventure!
In my currently host family I take of a 3 years old girl and a 5 years old boy. They are super funny and nice and we have a lot of fun together. On a normal days I prepare the meals for the children (breakfast, lunch and dinner), I bring them to school and I pick them up, I usually make the dinner for the whole family twice a week and of course I make some light household tasks (laundry, dishwasher). I play with dolls and barbies with my little girl and with my boy I play with Legos. When we are playing together we always play Zumbi game (we created this game, haha :) ), dance game (with chairs and song) or we play outside.
In Brazil, before I came to Holland, I was helping in a social project involving poor children. I helped in this project for one year. We sing songs, we play and we have a lot of fun together. There are about 70 children and most of them live in slums near the region. They are between 3 and 14 years old. Genereally two adults are responsible for at around 20 children so we divided the children in groups by ages. I was working with the 3-6 years old group. Sometimes my partner couldn't go and I was alone with 17 children. It was an amazing experience for me and I'll never forget this!
I'm a Statistician and in August of 2017, I finished my masters degree in Probability and Statistics at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I describe myself as a funny, responsible, caring, independent and open minded person. In my free time I enjoy to do a lot of things. I like to spend my time with people that I love, as my friends and family, I like listening to music, going out with my friends and traveling. Here in Holland I'm always visiting new places on weekends.
I've decided to become an Au Pair because I simply love being around children. Did you already see a child solving a puzzle? It's really nice to see it! I'll tell you why it's so nice. Each child is special and different and the real magic is to understand that each of them has their time to learn new things. I am a very patient person and love to teach new things to children. I like their sincerity. They say what they want, and if they do not like something, they express themselves and show it.
I'm sure I'll find a family that, like me, believes that children are the future of our world. So, if you like my profile, feel free to send me a message :)
