JÉSSICA, 31 YEARS

I am Jessica, 24 years old, living in Rio de Janeiro, a big city in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is known for its beaches and natural beauties, it is a very tourist place, incredible to live in, with lots of attractions , entertaiment is something that isn't missed here.
Nowadays I live with my parents, siblings, sister-in-law and nephews, we are a big family. We also have a new member in our family, our puppy called Bohr, we adopted him few days ago, because he was lost on the streets. He is our passion.
About my childhood, I feel I am lucky because I had different opportunities that most of the kids in my age didn't have. I studied in a public school where there were a lot of interesting activities such as flute, piano, theater classes, artistics gymnastics, soccer, biscuit, recycling, jornalism, etc. I was always very curious and independent, so I ended up participating in all these activities. I believe that participating in so many activities made me a better person, because I have the knowledge in different fields and today, I understand the importance of each activity, without discarding any of them.
In my free time I like to go to the beach, hang out with my friends, practice sports, read, play flute and piano, swim and watch tv shows. I am a very active person and am always looking for new learnings. I love traveling and getting to know new places and different people. I think that my curiosity made me to choose my current college course, by the way I am in the 3rd period of material engineering, I am in love with this profession.
I could describe me like an opened mind person, patient, extroverted and very lively, I am always in a good mood and I almost don't get upset with a thing. At work I always try to give my best in everything I do. I already had different jobs. I worked as a saleswoman for 2 years, before going to college, when I started my college I participated in a junior company, where everyone was entrepreneurs, managing a company, and it was one of my best experiences. Before that, I studied highschool in a teacher's graduation school, and when I gratuated, I was already an infant teacher, in this period I worked as an intern for 1 year in a school where I used to take care of kids from 2 years to 11 years old. I used to read for the kids, play, help with homework and teach them how to brush their teeth. I learned a lot that time. Since then I have always worked with kids, also in kid's parties at the buffet, caring for their safety. I worked as an infant caregiver where I spent 4 hours playing with children from 2 years to 10 years old, play catch up, arts and crafts, drawing, painting, etc. For last, I worked in an ONG called "para ti" where I used to be a volunteer and helped kids with their homework and played with them. I used to have a lot of fun!
Despite of having a lot of experiences with kids, one of my largest experiencies, in fact, is with my nephews, Ana Luisa, 3 years old, Davi 1 year old, because I get along with them daily. I am always creating new games to make them happy such as arts and crafts, hopscotch, hide and seek, body painting, etc. They are my loves.
I want to be an au pair because it is a cultural exchange program that includes 2 things I love, kids and new cultures, and of course give myself the chance to improve my English.
About driving, I don't drive frequently, because my family doesn't have a car, however I am not afraid of driving, in fact, I like to drive a lot and I believe it wouldn't be a problem for me.
