LUDMILA, 30 YEARS

My name is Ludmila. I was born in Brazil where I still live with my family. I live with my dad, mom and a younger sister.

I am calm, rational, open-minded, responsible and easygoing person. Even though I’m quite quiet I love to talk about many topics like sports, video games, travel, culture, fashion and music. My favorite computer game is League of Legends and my favorite sport is soccer but I also like ice hockey, formula 1 and swimming.

I’m responsible and very independent. I moved when I went to college and I used to live in a apartment with another 5 girls from different parts of the country that I’ve never seen before. This helped me to learned how to deal with people, how to respect other people's space, divide tasks, manage money and time.

When it comes to child care experience my first one was take care of my younger sister. She’s six years younger than me so It was my job walk her to the kindergarten. It was also my job help her with the homework everyday. When I was in highschool I had to take her to school everyday. Nowadays I help my brother with his two daughters, a teen with special needs and a 4 years old baby girl.

More recently I worked in a playground. My main job was play, watch, help, entertain and make sure that the kids wouldn't get hurt or fight with each other. I also had to help to clean and organize the playground in the end of the day. I used to deal with kids of all ages from around 2 to 15 years old and many times with more that 5 kids at once. The most common activities that I used to do with the kids was play with lego, read, draw, play video-games, dress costumes and watch them jump at the trampoline.

This experience will provide me a huge baggage to start a new chapter of my life, which I will be able to see the world in a new point of view. Be in touch with another cultures changes completly the point of view of the ones that have the oportunity to do it most part of the time for better. Another important point is the personal grow that aupair brings, taking care of kids and having them depending on you, counting on you and having you as a role model inevitably will change me for better ;)
