RAISSA, 30 YEARS

Hello, Host Family! How are you?
My name is Raissa (but all my close friends call me Rai). I'm 24 years old and recently graduated in Literature and Education by my homestate Federal University. I've worked as a teacher since I was 17 years old and have had experience with all ages (from 0 to 80). I've recently been an Au Pair for a very warm Muslim family in Texas for a year and before that, I've worked 6 months with a very strict army family from Maryland. I can only say good things from both experiences which certainly made me more tolerant and mindfull. Also, I love children - I like teaching them, listening to them, being part of the growing process in general has always been very rewarding for me as a human!
Despite my independence and sense of responsibility I bond very easily with anyone and really enjoy feeling as a part of something bigger than myself. All children I've cared for were very happy and reached great grades in school, especially for their critical thinking!
Also, I'm a very neat person. Obviously, cleaning the house is not my favorite task within the household, but keeping things neat, clean and organized are highly necessary for the delevelopment of all children and I always set myself up to do it with a dash of my own perfectionism. That all being said, I'm learning French and would love to share household with a french speaking family so I can practice the language and absorb european cultural features.
