FELIPE, 32 YEARS

Hi dear Host family,

How are you? I hope well.

My name is Felipe, I am 25 years old and I live in São José do Rio Preto, a great city in São Paulo, Brazil.

I live with my family, my mother Sonia and my father José Roberto. We are very united and caring, and we always strive to help one another. My family has had an important role in the development of my character, and I understand how special and influencial the right relationships can be for a individual's personal growth.

I am hoping to combien my longtime passion to travel and experience new cultures with my enjoyment of helping other people grow and develop in their lives. Au pairing offers me the potential to both learn about a new place, and to be an important part of someone else's life, where I feel I can make a difference and do something meaningful.

I currently volunteer at a local sports school for needy children. There are roughly 20 children at the school, and each day I pass with them is an enriching experience for both them and me; I get to know them, and share what I have learned with them, supporting them and helping them through their daily lives, and they share stories and constantly inspire me with how full of love and energy they are.

Some of my personal strengths are my ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. I am very patient, calm and committed to what I do. I am organized and curious, and I also have a passion for animals (in Brasil I have a cockatiel and two dogs), plants, and I enjoying cooking.

If you were to ask me how I'm going to build a strong relationship with your children, I would aim to share some of my interests with them, learn about what interests them, and develop a healthy and strong relationship where I am able to teach them some of the life lessons I have learned that have helped me succeed in life and keep me on a strong path of development. Some of the things I think are most important to encourage are a strong belief in yourself, a positive attitude towards people, curiosity for learning, and becoming a better person who will stand out in society in a positive way.

I would like the opportunity to spend a year with your family so I can share what I have learned through my life and what my culture has taught me with your family, and also so I can learn more about your culture and grow as a person through the experience of becoming part of your family.

I think that the best way to help develop a healthy and good relationship between your family and I is to be open, sincere and get to know one another. I want our time together to be as enjoyable as possible, and to ensure we understand and develop a strong relationship together.

Above all else, I hope we respect each other and learn from one another.

I hope you have patience with me while I am adapting to a new culture, and that we communicate clearly on things you may want me to improve or do differently.

I'll do my best to make this year as excellent and enjoable a learning experience it can be for all of us.
