VITÓRIA, 24 YEARS

Hi there! Thank you for considering my profile. I'm Vitória, a 23-year-old girl from Brazil. I'm an ESL Teacher, my daily routine involves engaging with kids aged from 3 to 16 and I love working with them. I'm majoring in Languages (both Portuguese and English, focusing on linguistics and literature). **I speak English, Portuguese and basic Norwegian** I'm a responsible, patient, easy-going, open-minded, respectful, empathetic, creative and curious girl with a chatty personality. I love socializing and meeting new people but I also like being alone sometimes! Balance is everything. In my free time I love going out and exploring but I also appreciate staying home and doing indoor activities. I love reading and writing. I'm also a big fan of movie marathons and binge-watching TV series. I love trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and experimenting with arts and crafts (I've got a soft spot for painting and coloring, even if my drawing skills are a bit... Well... Let's say "unique" 🥲) As mentioned before, I work with kids basically every day. I'm a 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 and I teach English to kids, teenagers and also adults, but now I'm focusing more in children education. I worked as a 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 for almost two years, assisting two classrooms with kids from ages 3 to 7. I helped all of the kids but I was mostly responsible for 2 kids, one that had Asperger Syndrome and other that had ADHD. Apart from teaching them English, I also teach them critical thinking and sociolonguistic abilities. Education is always done in a recreational way so that the child can not only have fun but also learn! I have worked as a 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 in the past. This involved ensuring their well-being, helping with homework, preparing meals, organizing activities such as taking them on walks, playing, going to the park, and overall providing a safe and caring environment for them. I also had an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻, where I helped children, aged 3 and 4, develop their Portuguese skills (such as reading and writing). *I can provide references from some of these child's parents and from my former coworkers/bosses. I'm looking forward to the AU Pair program because it's an opportunity to share my previous childcare experience, improve it, learn a new language, and build a friendly relationship with the host family for a fun and enriching experience for all of us. I want us to build a safe, caring and trustworthy relationship. I want to learn about your culture, your language, your traditions and I also want you to learn from me, learn Portuguese and learn about my culture as well. I want to be "part of the family" and I want to take part in family activities with all of you as long as I'm invited (because I know sometimes both you and me will want some alone time too), because I think that is absolutely necessary to live in a healthy environment and it can help create a bond between me, you (the parents) and your children. I'm very organized and I like to plan my week activities beforehand. I'm also very flexible and willing to come to terms about the schedule so it benefits both you and me. I think communication is very important so I want you parents to feel comfortable always talking to me about ways I can improve my experience as an AU Pair. I really hope we can build a healthy communicative environment :)
