Hello dear Host Family,

My name is Jessica Cristiane and I'm 27 years old. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. I like to do many things in my free time, like travelling with my
family, walk at the parks, go to the zoo, play with my nephew and cousins and also I like to go out with my friends, to ride bike and doing a good barbecue, talking a lot with them. A have others hobbies how go to the theater, cinema, amusement park, play soccer, swim, read good adventure books, magazines, news on the Internet, listen to good music and stay home with my family at “movie night”. I like to make some crafts with the kids, painting designs, draw and play with toys and read history for them.
I was AuPair in Dallas, Texas for 2 years, where I took care 4 kids and study English and Spanish. 2 babies twins when I started worked they were 4 months and now 2 years and 5 months, and the older boys twins 10 years old. I took care more the babies with all routine, feeding them, making food, changing diapers, shower, play with them, reading, wash clothes and drive them. The older boys I dropped them at school, pick up and make them meal, the boys were responsible with a lot things, how put the clothes at the closed, shower alone, and play alone. I love my hosts kids so much and I still talk with them at FaceTime, I miss them everyday.

I have other experience in Brazil too, babysitting. Her name is Amanda and she was 6 years old in 2010, when I took care of her. I used to prepare her food and feeding her, help with bathing, dressing up and with homework. She liked to draw, paint and play educational games and we use to play a lot with her dolls and toys, hide and seek and she used to ask me to tell her stories on bed time. Part of my job was to educate her, so I used to play educational games with her, teach her to put the toys back in the room and try to read educational books.

Experience at day care center at the small city Ribeirão do Sul, where I was a volunteer and helped care for two groups of children. The first group began with babies of 6 months to 1 year old, performing many tasks as: bottle feeding, spoon feeding, burping, changing diapers (nappies), bathing, , putting them to bed, and also playing with them. I also used to put children's songs and sing for them, encouraging babies to sit up, crawl, walk and talk. They loved to play with pets that make noise, and they were all very adorable babies. The second group had children of age 1 and 2 years, who are already developing the ability to speak and walk. For these group we have activities like drawing, painting with crayons and playing in the playground such as down the slide, running, hide and seek, and riding a tricycle. They all love playing on the playground and also with their toys. In my activities, I also had to give them the bottle, put them to sleep, and if the child was on medication, give the right amount that was scheduled on the child’s agenda. And also help make dinner or snacks, put cartoons videos or video-songs for them to watch. They usually love to dance, and sometimes I would take them to the library for me to read them a book or even just tell them a story.

I took care my nephew Joao Pedro from 4 months old until 4 years old. I spend the afternoon and some nights with him, because his mother is a teacher and his father bank employee. My tasks were: bathing, feeding with a spoon, prepare his food, changed his diapers and clothes, putting him to bed, sing songs to lullabies, playing with his toys and doing also doing sounds to make him smile and laugh that beautiful laugh of his.
