LETÍCIA, 23 YEARS

I live in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil. Since I was 12 years old, my dream has always been to travel the world, learn new languages, meet new people and their cultures. I always liked kids and I intend to work with them in the future, so I believe the au pair is the perfect exchange for me. I am not graduated yet but I want to do pedagogy in the future, so I can become a teacher.
I have swum since I was young and I am used to taking care of children in the water, so your children will be safe in my hands. I am also good at riding a bike. I agree to do light household chores and I have a good knowledge of english.
Since 2017 I take care of my 9 year old cousin when my aunt needs to go to work. In the morning we played a little before I must get her up for school. She loves to play with dolls, build houses with sheets, bake cakes and when it’s necessary I help her with the homework.
I also babysit a 4 year old boy, most times after he comes back from school. I gave him lunch, we play a lot and I put him to sleep when he gets tired.
In December 2018 I completed a Recreation course. There I learned a lot of games for all ages, countless ways to entertain children in their free time. This course enabled me to gain an internship at a recreation center in January 2019. The age of the children ranged from 3 to 15 years. Every day we went into the pool and we played a lot of games, it was an amazing experience, the kids made me laugh all the time and I learned a lot with them.
I have experience taking care of a 9 year old boy who has autism. I give him snacks or lunch, when he wants we watch videos on YouTube or play around the house. His favorites things in the world are numbers, we do a lot of them and he just loves it! He is very sweet and caring, loves to have company.
I am very communicative, lively and responsible. I love spending time with kids. I like doing activities with the them outside the house, like going to parks, at the pool, museums, among others. I love to read and watch Tv series, it was doing those two things that I managed to improve my English.
