FLORENCIA, 31 YEARS

My name is Florencia Aranda and I am 27 years old. I am an agricultural engineer, graduating from the National University of Salta, in Argentina. But I am here looking for a cultural exchange experience as an Au Pair or nanny. During my years of academic training, I have had the opportunity to do different professional practices, both in and outside the University, which provided enriching experiences and an important learning platform. In addition and, in parallel to my academic and work activities, I have been part of student and human rights organizations. I believe that social commitment is as important as professional development. For this reason, since the beginning of 2019, I collaborate with a soup kitchen for underprivileged vulnerable children in a socio-economically deprived neighborhood of the city. We also organize recreational activities, feeding, care tasks and school support. This experience has allowed me to know about the conditions of structural poverty and the economic and environmental difficulties in which these children are growing up, to develop special affective bonds with them, understanding their needs, their desires, and how to treat them to create a space of total empathy, and mutual learning. We definitely developed together a strong sense of fellowship.
Currently, because of schools closing due to the pandemic, I am giving private classes to two six-year-old girls, and I must say that the experience of providing literary instruction to them has been extremely rewarding and enriching. In this opportunity, I work with girls in a better economic position, however I have learned that all childhoods, despite the contrasts, have certain needs and demands to develop a healthy growth; love, empathy, understanding and an equitable quality education. If you consider me as an Au Pair, you will count on a person trained on human rights values education. I offer more than a childcare service, a mutual learning process experience, in which I hope to share my culture, my values, and my Knowledge as an agronomist and everything that I can do to get a profit for your family, it will be a pleasure for me, as well as learning about you, your country and your culture. Currently I am living in Madrid, and I have granted a norwiegian residence permit valid for the next three years. I will be waiting for you to coordinate a meeting in order to know us better!
