To whom this may concern, My name is Akayla Smith and I am a 23 year old located in Orlando, Florida, USA. I am a nanny that has been in the childcare field for the past 6 years. My experience includes babysitting, teaching and tutoring children newborn to 10 years of age. I studied at Florida International University in Early Childhood Education. I’ve worked at preschools and elementary schools in the past and currently work as a full-time nanny for a family of four (3 year old boy and 11 month old baby girl). I have experience with children diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), children with English as a second language (ESOL) and children with physical disabilities. I am currently completing my Registered Behavior Technician certification ( less than 1 year of Applied Behavioral Analysis experience) and will renew my child CPR and pediatric First Aid certification. These certificates will be completed upon hiring. I display qualities that are fitting for a nanny. These include being reliable, responsible, punctual, patient and super fun! Children take well to me as my personality is enthusiastic and comforting. Parents trust me for I am honest, trustworthy and loving as an additional family member. I am always willing to learn and try new things. Currently, I am looking for a temporary live-in nanny position in the UK or the US on a 12 week contract beginning as soon as March 2022. I do have a passport and identification for domestic and international travel and I am fully vaccinated from COVID-19. I do require room and board accommodations as well as a vehicle for transportation (not in US). I have experience in traveling with families for the holiday times when parents need an extra pair of hands. I am able to accommodate a family for travel for the holidays or a family vacation and provide the upmost care and safety. I prepare and cook meals for the families, do light cleaning and laundry, drive children to school, doctor’s appointments, and outside activities. I am able to provide references upon request.
