EMMA, 26 YEARS

Hello potential host families! My name is Emma and I am a 24 year old American from New Orleans- think gators, music, and crawfish on the bayou. I would love the opportunity to come help out another family and experience a different culture! I myself am from a wonderfully large extended family, with somewhere in the range of 60 cousins. Over the years I have spent more than my fair share of time babysitting them, as well as children from other families. I’m experienced with caring for kids anywhere from two to fifteen years old. Additionally, I’ve often volunteered as a highschool tutor, helping in subjects such as History (U.S and World), English, Standardized testing, and Digital Media. I am particularly proud of the time I’ve spent getting a better understanding of different learning styles, so that I can offer kids multiple learning strategies and ways to study. Last year I graduated from university (Tulane) with a degree in both Political Economy and Digital Media Production. I like to keep well informed on current events, and am ready and willing to play tech support at any time. I’m experienced with the entire Adobe Suite, as well as a variety of other softwares such as Avid, Blender, Cinema 4D, etc, etc. In summary, I’m happy to help your children out with any and all digital learning. Beyond the classroom, I spend a large amount of my time active and outdoors. I recently completed a thru hike of 800 miles through the arizona desert, and am happy to join your kids on any and all outdoor adventures. If there’s anything else you need, housework, cleaning, pet sitting, and so on, you’ll find that I am flexible and willing to help.
