DANIEL, 42 YEARS

I have been teaching in kindergartens in japan for tr last 6 years. I am a native English speaker, but fairly fluent in Japanese. Because I have been living in Japan and learning the language, I have become much more multicultural and have also learned some things about raising children the Japanese way as well. I am very patient and very good at favilitating conversation with children. I believe it is really important to make a real bond and be honest with children. I have many hobbies that make me fun to be around (for children and adults). I love the outdoors, especialy hiking, bouldering, slacklining, and the ocean. I garden and cook as well. And I enjoy showing children how to cook in order to build in them a deeper appreciation for the food they eat. In addition to that, I am neat and clean. I enjoy organizing things and developing systems to make things easier or more efficient. This kind of thinking often helps children with things that are difficult. I am seeking a position like this because I am ready for a new adventure and would like to live in a country I can respect rather than return home. And hopefully learn about the language, culture, and people.
