Hi! OUR FAMILY We are a Swedish family looking for an au pair who is currently based in Europe and who would like to come to Stockholm to look after our 3 children after school together and with the help of a second nanny who is Filipina. Our family consists of Mum, Dad and three kids (Boy 8 years, Girl 6 years, boy 4 years). Mum is a lawyer and Dad is a banker so we work in central Stockholm city. We have part time nanny (Filipina from Cebu) who picks up our youngest two children from daycare Monday to Friday in the afternoons. She is a friendly and lovely lady who has worked part-time for our family many years. All our previous au pairs so far have loved her! Your main responsibility will be to pick up our oldest boy from school and take him to after school activities such as football and dance class. This means that you will rarely be alone when looking after the children because you will have help from our second nanny. However, the other nanny does not live with us so you will be the only person living with us in our house. Our children speak both English and Swedish. OUR LIVING SITUATION We live in a big house just outside of Stockholm city. (It takes 10min by train into the city centre). As an au pair in our family you will have your own bedroom and own bathroom. We have a big garden and there are a few parks nearby as well as local shops, cafes, pharmacy, library, shopping mall etc. In the summer you can go to the beach which is nearby. OUR REGION We live in a beautiful suburb only 10 min outside Stockholm so you will have an easy time getting into town for sightseeing, studies, shopping or leisure time. In the suburb where we live it is clean and green. We live close to the water and there is a beach nearby. There are also many nannies and au pairs living in the area so its easy to make friends. OUR DAILY ROUTINE This is what your typical weekday might look like : Mornings (ca. 1-2 hours): - Help get the kids get ready for school and make them breakfast - Some days, take the youngest two kids to daycare (5 min walk) - Tidy up after breakfast, put on a laundry wash etc. You will then have free time until ca. 16:00 Afternoons (ca. 4 hours) - Pick up 8 year old from school which is nearby. - Some days take 8 year old to activities in our area. - Playtime at home or in park with all the children together with the other nanny - Have dinner with the children (the other nanny usually cooks but you might wish to help also if you enjoy cooking). - Get kids ready for bedtime (get them cleaned, fold away clothes etc.) You typically finish no later than 19:00 on weeknights Weekends (Sat & Sun) you are free! A general clean of the house 1 or 2 times per week (total 5 hours). TASKS, SCHEDULE, POCKET MONEY. - We expect someone who is reliable, punctual, responsible and able to think independently and assess what needs to be done. - We expect you to have a good command of the English language. - Cooking skills is also beneficial but not a must. For ca. 30-35 hours work per week we pay 5000 SEK. We will also pay for your mobile phone subscription. We will also pay the monthly cost of your travel card (bus & train) worth 1000 SEK.
