STEFANIE

We are a Swiss-Swedish family with two boys and an adult son.

Laurin is 7 years old and goes into the 2nd class. He plays tennis and learns to play piccolo for the Basler Fasnacht.
Sindri is 11 years old and goes into the 5th class. He also plays tennis and piccolo. Once a week he has piano lessons also likes to play the piano.
In their free time, the children like to play indoors or outdoors in the garden, floorball or football on the street.
Florian is 20 years old and a trained cook. In winter 2019/2020 he will work in the mountains and not live at home.
Steffi is a primary school teacher and works about 3 days a week. In addition to her teaching activities, there are also regular sessions.
Bengt works as a client advisor at a bank. Due to his Swedish mother, he grew up bilingually in Switzerland.

About us
We live in Muttenz near Basel, which is the third largest city in Switzerland and on the border to Germany and France. In Muttenz there is a park, an indoor swimming pool, a football field and a forest nearby. Basel can be reached by tram or bicycle in 15 minutes.
We live in a big blue house with a beautiful garden. We like to work in the garden and always take on new projects.
The children go to school before 8 and come back at 12 o'clock. After lunch at home, the children have school again in the afternoon or one or the other is free. Then they can be outside, do their homework or meeting colleagues.
On weekends we usually do something together, get visitors or go away.


Our expectations
Our aupair should be fond of children, reliable and responsible. On the days Steffi works, the children have to be sent to school in the morning. One or two lunch a week has to been prepared and the afternoon care has to been taken over (tasks, activities, sports, music etc.).
From time to time there are evenings when the Aupair has to take care of the children.
In August, December and January Steffi has many sessions, so it is important to be flexible.
Once a week the house should be vacuum-cleaned by you and you should help to keep the household in shape.
Up till know, our two Aupairs worked about 30 hours a week.
The advantage of being here is that it is both the city and the nature nearby. And we think that we are a friendly family with 2 happy children :-)
