Dear future au pair, We consider us a verry luck family to be able to hire an au pair! We hope to find someone who can be part of our family, that we will grow fond of and enjoy spending time with. It si verry important to us that you thrive in our home and take pride in being an au pair. If you are more of the independent and privet person, that’s fine, we just don’t want to feel that we have a stranger in the house. 😊We have to be comfortable with each other. What we are offering: 30 hours of work for 6000kr a month, with the possibility for a raise. Your one room and bathroom We also have a 2-bedroom apartment in our house that you can stay in if you wish. You can have friends over when you like and visitors from home. we do sometimes rent the please out to air bnb(maybe 2-3 months of the year in total and use it from time to time ourselves. Borrowing our cars when public transport is too inconvenient and from time to time otherwise. Bicycle 5 weeks of vacation in one year (you keep your monthly payment) Flexibility (goes both ways) Traveling with us You will not work more than the hours in your contract We are a resourceful family. If you plan to stay in Norway after working for us, we can assist you with finding work or schooling. A little bit about us. Mother and father (Paulina and Karstein) are both 35 years old, outgoing, social, and active. We like to go out for dinners, concerts, meeting friends with the kids and without :D, having friends and family over for dinner (not that often now of course) and spending time out side. Karstein is a finance director in a big company, travels a lot and is verry busy. His hobby is running, and his weakness is watching tv and talking loudly on the phone😊 Paulina is a former hairdresser. Now she studies part time and sadly has some back problems due to the pregnancy but it’s not a big problem in the day to day. Hopefully she will recover soon. Here weakness is having to many hobbies! Singing, dancing, music, horses, mushroom picking, cooking and so on. We have two kids. Henrik (that you will manly take care of) is 2 years old and goes to the day care centre. He is also active and learned to walk, run, and talk early. He has strong opinions but is easy to handle if your patient with him. He gets up early in the mornings so your day will start between 6 and 7 o clock. But we hope it will change soon :D maybe you have a trick ore two under your sleeve to help him sleep longer :D Sander is only 4 months old, and Paulina is on parental leave with him. You will hopefully be comfortable with taking care of him for short periods of the day, maybe take him for a walk in the stroller. Primarily you will spend time with Henrik and occasionally with baby Sander. As we are a verry busy family, we are looking for some one to help us make life a bit more manageable and ensure that our sons have a happy and stable day-to-day. You will help keep us running and we are so grateful for this We are looking for someone who: * Is warm and loving around our kids * Is happy, sweet and positive * Is a non-smoker and healthy * Is good at cooking (Paulina loves to cook so you will maybe make dinner maybe two times a week and we will order or go out to eat about 2 times a week) * Likes doing household chores (and you can expect that we also help out around the house. It is a team effort when living together) we expect you to use about an hour a day on household chores. * Works with caution, structure and thoroughness * Has experience as an au pair or nanny (we can consider other experience also) * Are over 18 years old. Preferable over 20 years. * You have driver’s licence * your from Europe We live next to a lake and there are a lot of hiking areas here. The place I named Søfteland and is located 10 min from Os witch there is a small shopping mall and city center. Also its 25 min from Bergen. Some longer with public transportation but there is a one-minute walk to the bus stop. Our house is 300 square meters. It is very important to us that you feel comfortable living with us and are happy to be in Bergen. We will do our very best to help you feel at home We know that having you in our lives can be a gift to you and to us at the same time. How often do we get so lucky? That is why we would be so grateful for someone to become part of our family, become a trusted and respected role model for Henrik and Sander, and help us manage the practical day to day work in our household.
