We are a family of four, living in The Hague. Right around the corner from the beach. We have a son (almost 3 years), a baby girl (born in July 2021) and a dog (labradoodle). We are looking for someone to help out in our family and home. We’ve had a lovely au pair for 3 months, which originally was the period we’d thought we would have an au pair, just to help in the first few months after the birth of our second baby. But by now we are so enthusiastic about having an au pair in the house that we are looking for someone for a longer period of time. We are both working fulltime. And we would love someone around to help us with getting the kids ready, doing fun things with them, cook sometimes and just looking after them every now and then. We would love to find someone who is happy to be around kids, loves to do fun things with them, is kind and positive and is keen on dogs, since we have a very sweet and happy labradoodle. We believe open communication is super important to make this work, and just mutual respect of course. We are a very easy going, positive and friendly family with a warm and open home. We would love to welcome you and make you feel at home in the Netherlands. We have a family home right around the corner of one of the nicest beaches in The Hague. We completely renovated the house earlier this year. The au pair bedroom is on the second floor, where our kids also sleep. There is also a bathroom on that floor that you would ‘share’ only with our son (he doesn’t really use it yet). Since our kids go to day care quite a large part of the week we are really looking for an extra set of hands instead of full time child care. We would love to have someone in the house to help out during the busy hours of the day. So the mornings, getting them ready for day care, the evenings, picking them up, get them to bed. And then during the week and weekends it would be great to have someone to entertain them for a few hours every now and then. Besides taking care of the kids we would love to have some help with the light house work like cooking, folding the laundry, and just get the house a bit organized every now and then after a busy day (we have a cleaning lady as well for the serious cleaning). There will be two days the au pair is entirely off and can enjoy her well deserved free time. We will always discuss the week ahead so everyone knows what is expected. Obviously the au pair will get pocket money to be able to enjoy the well deserved spare time in this lovely city.
