We are urgently seeking a new au-pair, so if you are Danish and/or already living in Denmark and looking to change host family we are very interested. Til dansk-talende ansøgere kan bare skrive til os på dansk. We are a family of 5. Mom (46) and dad (51) and our three boys (13, 9 and 6). We live in a house close to Copenhagen in the municipal Gentofte. We both have busy jobs and is looking for an au pair to help with the housekeeping (cleaning and laundry), and to be home with the kids (pick-up) when they get off from school. It would also be good if you could cook dinner from time to time. A typical day will consist of: (1) a cleaning / tidying assignment and doing laundry (8 am to 11 am); (2) pick up the youngest from school and serve snack (2:30 pm to 4:30 pm); and potentially (3) cook dinner. We expect that the au pair eats with us for dinner. We expect the au pair to be open, outgoing, positive and willing to participate in our family's life - especially to engage with the kids and get to know them. There will be no work in weekends (after 5pm Friday) and we generally don't expect the au pair to watch the kids in the evening. We offer a big and fully furnished room in the basement with own and separate small kitchen, own bathroom and own entrance. We have a summerhouse on the island of Bornholm, which the au pair is also welcome to use. We have been a host family for 5 au pairs (4 Filipino and one Danish), and we are happy to provide reference from our last Danish au pair, who was with us for 14 months (october 2020 to December 2021).
