JASMIN, 22 ÅR

Hello potential future host family!
First, I would like to introduce myself: I’m Jasmin from Germany and I’m 17 years old, but when I’m leaving Germany for my Au Pair year I’ll be 18. I’m attending high school and doing my A-levels now. After school I would love to go a year abroad as an au pair! Why? Because I love kids and I’d love to get to know a new culture and the Au Pair Programme is the best idea to combine the two things! I love getting to know new cultures, therefore I have already participated at two school exchanges. Well, the one was only for five days and the other for ten, so one can’t really compare them with an Au Pair year, but it is a beginning, right?
Time spending with kids was always a part of my life because I have many little cousins. I love seeing kids being happy and laughing with them and I hope I can make your kids happy, too! As an Au Pair, I would play with your kid/s, drawing with them, doing handicafts etc. I would also love it to learn them something about the German and Romanian culture by cooking traditional dishes etc.
I‘m a very open-minded person, that‘s why I love getting to know new people. Also, I’m very friendly and a positive person. I laugh a lot and I’m in nine times out of ten, so to speak, in a cheerful mood.
In my free time, I like drawing and doing something with my friends. I also loooove listening to music so I do a lot of it. I also like it to read or just chilling. I will also start with my driving license, soon.
I live together with my mom Ramona, my dad Waldemar and my twin sister Amina. We have a really good relationship.
My parents are from Romania, so I grew up bilingual and with two cultures, the Romanian and the German.
After my Au Pair year, I would like to study Hotel-, Tourism-, & Eventmanagement. I’m really interested in that field because it is very diverse. But I also toy with the idea of opening a cafe.
But before doing this, I wish being an Au-Pair, especially your Au Pair!Since I have many little cousins, I spent and spend much time with them. Well, with some a little more than with the others, because I have cousins living in Romania so I can’t see them very often but in the summer. They all are at the age of 1-11.
I have much enxperience in child care. Not only with my cousins, I also did a work experience in an elementary school for a week. In addition to that, I give private tuition in English, French and German to a 13 years old and a 11 years old boy.
I‘m also a carer for the scouts and for the children‘s service.
Next month, I will also start to be a carer in a day-nursery.
