THORA, 23 ÅR

Dear host family,
my name is Thora Hoesterey. Since it is my last year of school, I am thimking about what i should do after that. I got into school with the age of 5 years. That is not typical for Germany. That means I am one year junger than my school friends and I want to use that year to collect experiences bevor I start at university. I want to become a teacher.
I love to learn about other cultures and there way of living. It all started with my host mother in england. She was chinese. I lived in england for 5 month and went there to high school when i was 14 and 15 years old. They had 2 girls. The older one was 10 years back than and the junger 6 years, which was really nice, because my real sister was just a little junger.
My sister is 7 years old right now and my older brother 20. Because of my little sister and my hobbies I am always in contact with children. I am a scout and when I am old enough (at least 18) I want to become a leader there. Another hobby, which I had to stop, because of my A-level, was being a dance tutor for 13 to 21 year old beginners. For that I had a lot of coaching and learned how to react in which situation and how to be a role model. Through that i also learned to take responsibility.
For a while I helped in my primary school kids, who had trouble with there schoolwork, after my school finished. I did that twice a week for 4 month.
Why I want to come to korea? It started around 2 years ago when a friend showed me a k-pop video. I do listen to k-pop and I like it, but I am not a crazy fan. I really like the sound of the language and I already had a 10 days korean language course in my sommerbreak of 2017. It was a lot of fun and not easy. I want to continue learning it, but right now I have to study for my exams.
I am an openminded person and super motivated.
I think we will have a lot of fun together.
