MAETIRA, 24 ÅR

Dear future host family, My name is Maetira, you can call me May. I am 22 years old. I come from Bangkok, Thailand. I am currently studying Air Cargo Management, Civil Aviation Training Center. And going to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in February 2022. At the moment, I am on an internship period. During my study, I participated in university activities by nursing injured and sick people during activities. Moreover, I also work part-time jobs including an assistant at the In-Cosmetic Asia exhibition and an assistant at the Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar. Through these experiences, I have improved myself in many terms such as solving problems in unexpected situations. I have 5 members in my family which are my mother, my father, and my sisters. We love to spend time together and we go on small trips each year. I regularly help my family do chores around the house and take care of our three lovely dogs. In my spare time, I like to read books, especially novels, watch movies, and love traveling to new places. I also often ride a bicycle with my friends at the nearby park. About my childcare experience, Now, I am a teacher’s assistant in kids school. My responsibility are take care of children during the class in age around 2-8years old, help them communicate with teacher in English and play with them which make me familiar with kids. Moreover, I had a chance to be a volunteer in the Children's day camp. Sharing love and happiness with kids on the children's day of Thailand. During the camp, I had developed games and sports to play with them. I took care of them the entire camp. I consider myself as a responsible and empathetic person and always cares about the people around me. Adapting is another thing that I am good at. I always like to observe surrounding things, it is very useful in adaptation. Moreover, I like to learn new things, I want to do something which I have never done before. Regarding additional skills, I usually help my mom cook so I can do basic Thai food and western food. I can play badminton. I always played it with my sister when I was young. I can ride a bicycle and drive a car. Besides, I am able to speak English at an intermediate level and I am still working on it to communicate with my future host effectively. I would like to come to a European country because I am interested in European culture and their language. Furthermore, it also has a beautiful city, a nice vibe, and is highly safe for living. I've always wanted to explore the world and meet different kinds of people. I also like to spend time with children so that's why I was so delighted when I heard about the Au Pair program.
