PHOEBE, 20 ÅR

(current late response due to Final Examinations) Dear Future Host Family Thank you so much for taking time to look at my application. I am Phoebe Sulaiman and I am from South Africa. I am currently 18 years old and completing my last year on high school. I have a very fun, outgoing personality once you get to know me. I love meeting new faces as it keeps smile alive and I am a lover of the nature. My family consists of both my parents ,2 brothers (Fagan and Marcus) and myself. I came second into the world between the 3 of us. Surprisingly the age gap between the youngest and myself is 16 years! I know it sounds insane but I just love that miracle baby (Marcus) so much. Majority of my experience with babies and caring for them came from this little one. Knowing that my parents aren’t as flexible as they were when Fagan and I arrived so I knew that I needed to help. I took care of him during the afternoon and brothers (sometimes during the night as well. I have been caring for Marcus since birth till now. Ever since I can remember I have loved caring and being there for little ones. Every cousin or family member that had a baby was under my care. I have also volunteered at a Childcare Nursery for 2 years when I was 14 and 15 years old, I gained even more skills and advice on how to assist any child. Also, not to mention that my mother is a Home-based care Nurse for cares for ill patients which also proves that my passion for caring for others and children in particular (for me) is in the genes. Babies have always had a special attraction to me in the sense that they knew they would be loved and cared for when with me. I would love to become your next Au Pair because I feel I am experienced, know what I am doing and love babies/children since I was 6 years old, playing and taking care of my dolls and baby cousin at the time. It also just brings me so much joy to be able to hear them giggle and put a constant smile on their adorable faces. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like Big Sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be fun and games. I am also going to be their guardian 24/7 and I accept that responsibility with both hands. I am capable of being YOUR AU PAIR, just give me a chance and I will prove it to you! Living with me is not a hassle, as I am not a demanding person. I won’t have any trouble adjusting to my new environment and I do respect that it is your house and that I have to follow your house rules and in no way intend to go against or break them. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talking it out and finding a solution instead of ignoring it and letting it be swept under the rug.
