FAITH, 20 ÅR

My name is Faith , I am a 20 year old Kenyan . I am currently pursuing a degree in Education at Kenyatta University since 2021 and I would like to take two years to be part of a new culture , learn a new language and experience a new country . I would love to learn and explore and I'm sure my gap year would be truly amazing for you , my host family and me . I'm sociable , friendly and super fun . I think our interaction would be the best to exchange cultures and create so many fun memories . I am passionate about children and find it easy to bond with them . I am also kind and responsible and hope to be part of your family so we can share a wonderful experience . I have childcare experience for two years having taken care of my nephews and nieces . I was a baby sitter too.I looked after children aged 3 months , 4 years old and 10 years I helped •do the laundry • prepare lunches for school • do your homework • accompany them to their extra - curricular activities •cycling , drawing and playing football • Clean their rooms, arranged and kept it clean at all times For toddlers , cleanliness and sanitation was one of the important things I considered , I made sure they had their meals and played with them . Having been a teaching practice teacher for a few months , I will surely apply the skills I learned to your children : inspiring children , providing mentoring and tutoring / helping children with their homework . also volunteered in a French village called Mitahato where I was able to guide children in learning basic things in french like salutations and numbers . I have basic knowledge of first aid having been a high school scout for two years . I have enrolled in a 7 days first aid course I am beginning the lessons soon . I can drive a car . I have a valid driving license . I can work with little or no supervision since I have always learned to be a kind , humble and responsible person . I like swimming • play football and basketball ; outdoor activities such as picnics walks in nature I am really a very adaptable person and also I am generally a multilingual person I speak English and Swahili fluently and am consequently improving in French and Spanish . I think having you as a host family will not only help me learn a new language and culture through intégration and spending time with my host family abroad , but also help us create fun memories together . I look forward to sharing Kenyan culture with you , share different food recipes as I learn from you too and also teach some Swahili words if you won't mind . I have all the required documents and I'm ready to begin visa processing as early as possible .
