Dear Future Host Family, Hi, I am Hannah Mae Castañares. Thank you for taking your time reading my sincere letter. Allow me to be straightforward so that I could save your precious time. I am turning twenty(20) this March. As the fourth eldest among my other six siblings, I experienced taking care of my three younger siblings. My mom is a fish vendor and my father is a taxi driver. They worked more than eight hours a day just so they could sustain our daily needs. My three older siblings, on the other hand, work part-times to cover up their own college expenses. They won't ask for my parents' assistance as they know that it could add up to their burden. That is why I am so proud to be part of this family. We love each other more than words can describe. Because of that, I have more free time. I spent those free times to stay at home looking after my younger siblings. I never felt any boredom as I get to watch movies with them, talk with them, and laugh with them. As I was born Filipino, it runs in my blood to become a family-oriented individual. When it comes to them, I am selfless. As a Filipino, a bond of family is determined by heart and not just by blood. We really took care of people and treat them as family. It is our nature. It is my nature. I really have soft heart towards children as I grew up taking care of my younger siblings. It molds me to become who I am today and I am proud of it. I have a sense of responsibility and made quality of friends. Given such life experience, I can guarantee you that I have high patience especially with children. I want to become an Au Pair because I want to experience and witness new cultures and traditions. Most importantly, I want to help my future host family in taking care of their children and make sure that they grow up well. An Au Pair should have a solid background in Child Care and I have been living my life doing so as I take care of my younger siblings ever since they were still a toddler. Whenever I spent my time taking care of them, I always act and think according to what's best for their welfare.
