MARY, 31 ÅR

Dear Family,
My name is Mary Jo Rico, you can call me MJ.
I am 26 years old, single, no kids, a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree of Multimedia Arts and Sciences major in Graphic Design and currently working as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator in the Philippines. I paint and design for a living and for passion. Yay! After office hours I take French Language Course A1 and leveling up to A2. I want to be a Multilingual individual.

I am a middle child, I have one older brother and one younger sister (all of legal age and currently working), my mother is a single parent. She works for a law firm and is nearing her retirement; she finally travels around in her spare time. We are an active family, we hike mountains, love beaches and join volunteerism and outreaches together.
My Hobbies:
- Reading (Fiction and History, my favorite author is Jeffrey Archer)
- Painting and Drawing (I participate in exhibitions occasionally, Watercolor, acrylic, calligraphy)
- Travelling ( I traveled mostly around the Philippines) hiking mountains, diving corals and exploring our diverse cuisines

Why do I want to be an Au Pair:
I like spending time with kids, games, dancing, DRAWING, Painting, going to the park etc.
Attention, understanding, care and a whole lot of patience is the key to a child’s heart.
I would like to discover new cultures, living with a local family is better than just being a tourist I would learn a lot more. I am used to traveling and being away from my family, I plan to have a minimum of 1 year with a family to fully be a part of their lives and have fun memories. I have initiative and careful with the family rules. I know the rules and boundaries of being an Au Pair. Ready to do some light housework, I can help you cook and share our Filipino cuisine. I would LOVE to help you cook, I want to learn your gastronomies too! In the Philippines the staple food is rice, I would like to know how it feels like to have potatoes as the staple food. I also wanted to visit museums as it tells a lot about the history, culture, arts, and fashion of a country.
