CARLO, 25 ÅR

Good Day! My full name is Carlo Enrique Dela Merced. I am currently 20, but turning a year older in December 2019. I graduated from High School in the year 2018, and I have recently just finished the first year of university while studying Marketing Management. However, I decided to take a gap year or two since I have been wanting to explore more of the world through different kinds of cultural exchanges - such as being an AuPair abroad. I come from a Filipino household with my single mom and a younger brother of mine who is 9 years old - therefore I use a lot of time helping my mom taking care of him. At the same time, I also help my mom with the household chores and also help her with errands since we are the only two adults that runs the house.

I describe myself as a very fun and open person who is interested in always learning new lessons through time. What you can expect from me is that I am a very happy person who is easy to communicate with, but also very hard-working and determined, and is willing to intuitively take action when it comes to tasks and works that has to be done. I am also a person who is open to meeting new people, and getting to know other cultures through them. I am therefore in search for a host family who is willing to welcome me with open arms, and who is very kind. A host family that can introduce to me new experiences and also a family who is warm-hearted.

The reason why I have chosen to apply as an AuPair abroad is because I have always been curious about the different cultures there is, and I have also been wanting to explore different parts of the world. I see this as an opportunity for me to fulfill my goals and dreams of gaining new experiences outside my comfort zone, and also to gain new knowledge along the way - while of course applying my personal experiences as well.
