CHARM, 32 ÅR

Dear Host Family,

Thank you for reading my letter.

My name is Charm and I am 27 years old. I am from the Philippines and I am a pure Filipina. I came from a big and happy family of 9: My parents, Dario and Nalieta, plus those 4 sisters and two brothers which I considered my LIFE. We also have a Chao-chao dog named Whiskey. In our home, we are a big and happy family because of my lovable and smart nieces and nephews who lives with us from the time they are born up until now. As for me, I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science major in Hotel and Restaurant Management. My first language is Tagalog but I am also fluent in English. I also know some basics of French and Spanish since I had those subjects way back in college.

My first babysitting experience was when I was 17 years of age. I was able to learn everything on how to took care of a 2 year old baby during that time. From changing diapers, feeding milks, taking her to have a bath, and playing with her. I had also the chance to teach her some basic English worlds like “mama and papa” as well as “auntie and uncle”. I know that those are just common words but for me those are a powerful words you can call to a person you loved the most with RESPECT. I also had the chance to took care of a 1, 6 and 14 years old boy and girls respectively. I managed to apply those things that I’ve learned from my first experience to the 2 children that I am taking care of a month a go. Most importantly, I always make it a point to balance our time between playing and studying. I treat them as my own brother and sister as I am always have this kid in my heart. I became a tutor slash pastry chef to those children I took care of because I always make it sure to guide them with their assignments and projects and when they want me to bake, I encourage and taught them how to bake, in which is really an effective bonding time for me. I remember one time, a kid told me that she showed her lunchbox (which I prepared) to her classmate because it’s cute and creative. I was told by her mom that she really likes Hello Kitty, so the next morning I baked a hello kitty cookies for her to became happy when she opened her lunchbox. I felt flattered and happy as she was saying that she and her classmates really like the cookies.

When it comes to the house, there is really no problem with me. I am already used to cleaning the house as if it is my own house. I can do washing the dishes, laundry, vacuuming, watering the plants, ironing the clothes, do some grocery shopping and most importantly -cooking. You can always reach out to me if you need anything for me to work on to. I will make sure that I will exceed your expectations for me. I am also a bubbly and jolly person, I think that’s one of the reasons why those children that I took care of keeps on messaging me from time to time. There comes a time that a host mom requested me to tutor that child in which I lend my hand since she needed me. I am also a person who loves to travel to different places for me to experience different culture specially the language and food. I also love reading, specifically English novels. I also enjoy painting and on dull or rainy days.

I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I know being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I would really love to experience your culture and the same time sharing mine. I am really interested to learn your language and go outdoors to interact, see beautiful places and meet new friends. :)

I am currently holding a National Visa beginning October 12 of 2019 until October 2020. 🙏🏻
