MARICHO, 28 ÅR

My name is Maricho but you can call me Mari. I am 23 years old Filipino AU pair wannabe. I believe I am trustworthy, honest, lovable, humorous, creative and optimistic. I genuinely love kids with all of my heart. Since I was a teen I started babysitting my relative's children or infants. The youngest was 1 year old and the oldest was 12 years old. I look after them, send them to school as well as picking them up on time. Preparing their things, cooking, and making sure that they always feel good and having fun in many ways.

Four years ago, one family member was added into my family and she was our angel. My baby sister taught me more about being in love with how innocent and joyful they are. Since I am working online (home-based) most of my free time or most of the time me I am the one taking care of her. Feeding her, taking her to shower prepare her school things, send her to kindergarten, wait outside of the school until she is done, send her home, put her to nap, watch Disney movies, dates on the playground or at the mall, eat the food she loves and many more.

Now, I do babysit my uncle's one-year-old son and as well as my baby sister together on a Saturday. On Sundays, I usually teach many kids in our church and teach them songs and bible stories. I have been a Sunday school teacher for kids since I was 17.

My current job online (home-based) is an English tutor. I have been doing this job for more than 5 years now. Most of my students are young children. This job taught me more about how to speak gently and how to entertain them in learning in a fun way. Children develop best when their environment when everything is just fun and like a fairy tale. And I believe that this is true. Great support from adults is necessary and ensuring their safeties too.

I would love to experience more on meeting kids abroad and at the same time explore what other things I haven't experience. Like culture, language, food, place, and people.

Ever since I am young, my parents trained and disciplined me to be responsible enough on little things especially with the common house household chores. In the morning, it is important for us to fix and arrange the bed right after getting up before the shower. When my mom went to Singapore to work for 13 years, I became independent and kept my mom's teaching about doing household chores. I do cook simple Filipino cuisine and some frying too. I'd be so much willing to learn new cuisines from other countries.

I have lived in front of the beach since I was young so I learned how to swim well. When I was in elementary I had two dogs and so love animals especially dogs and cats. Since I am a Filipino it common for us to have a hobby in singing. I travel in domestic areas here in my country sometimes when I have enough money. I have basic skills in playing the piano, ukulele, guitar and drums that I could maybe share to kids.

Lastly, I am single, not married and doesn't have any kids.
