Dear Host Family,

I am happy to know and willing to work with host family. Let me tell you about myself.
I am Cristine Joy , and you can call me joy. I am 24 years old and i am from Davao, Philippines. I am currently working as a I.T Staff in our Municipality here in Davao, Philippines. I am a vocational graduate of Information Communication Technology last 2014. After Graduation, i decided to work as soon as possible to earn for my future and I want to travel any country. My both parents died my father died 6 years ago and my mother died 3 years ago so I'm all alone now because my two brother's start their own families, but
they giving me 100 percent support of my choice being an au pair. They think it's good to take a gap year and explore a new culture, learn a new language and in the process become a more independent person.

Regarding to experience in handling children, i would say i experienced it when i was staying with my grandmother's house , i was the one checking and taking care of my two little nephew - same girl. A 8 yrs old and a 3 yrs old. i was the one who took care of them while i was studying, i am a working student back then. It was quiet challenging cause they have this energy and tantrums but then again i am happy because my grandma always happy seeing the kids love me so much, they are glad on how i handled them in everyday.

I am a hardworking so i can do tasks . I am considering myself as a multi tasking, easy to work with ,showing understanding and patience ,honest and thrust worthy.
Looking forward for a nice job with a good host family, i want to learn more things with a loving and understanding family.

So what am I like?

My family, friends and peers always describe me as a warm hearted, easy-going, helpful, humourous and enthusiastic person. I’m a passionate and ambitious young woman. I have a lot of plans for my future. I want to become a children and adolescent psychologist one day, because of my incredibly strong passion with kids. One of my main hobbies is photography, I love to capture memories by taking a photo and editing photo. Even though a picture makes no sound and there is no movement in it itself, one picture can hold so many meanings. Recently I also pick up cooking as a hobby and I absolutely love it. I would say cooking is an art where I can express my creativity. Apart from that I also really like sports and I can play different kinds of both indoor and outdoor sports.

I also did badminton,yoga and fitness. In my spare time I like to watch videos on youtube, reading new books and catch up with my friends as well as meeting new people.

More about me,I graduated vocational course which is Information Communication Technology. As of now I am planning to take a gap year from work and study. I can speak English (average), I would love to learn dutch as my second language.



Why you would like to work as an au pair?

First of all, I love kids and I know how to deal with them and how to make them having a blast moment with me. Being an au pair will give me the opportunity to do the things I love and will allow me to explore a new culture, learn a new language and meet new people along the way. I’m sure that if you choose me as your new au pair, we would have a great time together and I hope this letter would give you some idea about me and what I am like. I think I could be the right person to take care of your children
