Hi! I’m from the Philippines, and I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being around children. I don’t see childcare as simply watching a child. I like getting to know them, learning what makes them happy, and being someone they feel comfortable with. I’ve taken care of young children from around 1 to 4 years old, including preparing their food, helping with their routines, playing with them, keeping them entertained, and dealing with those moments when they suddenly decide that saying “no” is their favorite word. I’ve also had experience caring for children with autism, which taught me to be more patient and to understand that every child needs a different approach. At home, being the eldest daughter also taught me a lot about looking after younger ones. I’m naturally the kind of person who notices when something needs to be cleaned, organized, or taken care of without always being asked. I’m energetic, easy-going and I don’t mind getting my hands dirty when there is work to do. What I’m really hoping for is more than just finding a place to stay abroad. I want to experience what everyday family life is like in another country, learn from the people around me, share a little bit of Filipino culture, and hopefully become someone your children remember as more than just their au pair. I know I’m coming from quite far away, but I’m willing to learn, adjust and give my best. If you’re looking for someone caring, playful, dependable and a little bit like an older sister for your children, maybe we should get to know each other.
